Centar za mladinski aktivizam CMA KRIK
Skopje, North Macedonia
Centre for Youth Activism KRIK is a non-governmental, non-profit organization in North Macedonia, established and led by young people, working for and with youth. KRIK is not merely linked to the youth field—it is an active and integral part of it. The name “KRIK,” meaning “screech” or “outcry,” reflects the organization’s vision: to be the voice of young people, driving change and contributing to a more inclusive society. KRIK promotes youth participation, activism, and engagement in policy-making at both local and national levels. It works with diverse groups of youth, including those with typical development, individuals with disabilities, and those facing social and economic challenges or difficulties with social integration. KRIK also operates the Youth Center KRIKNI in the Municipality of Kisela Voda—an inclusive space for young people with disabilities that offers occupational therapy, art, music, and other creative activities. Additionally, CYA KRIK provides the essential social service “Living with Support” through three group homes for persons with disabilities, promoting independent living and community inclusion.
